Bensenville Park District invites visitors to its debut Artists & Authors fine arts fair, where they can stroll among arts and crafts exhibits, ranging from painting and ceramics to wood carvings and decorative garden stepping stones.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, at Fischer Farm, 16W680 Old Grand Ave., Bensenville.

Fiction and nonfiction books for all ages will be available, and the authors will present readings and discussion both days.

Among the visual artists will be Robert Reckers of Salt Creek Pottery; painters Michael Klaus Schmidt and Eileen Wanders; Irene Boutzarelos showing worked glass and jewelry from I for Art; Yasna Klinzing of The Knitting Pot; and woodcarver Marty Ziocch.
