Rock band AVM to debut song at DuPage County Fair
By SUBURBAN LIFE MEDIA
Led by singer-songwriter and music producer Robert Mackey, the rock group AVM will perform Saturday evening, July 27, at the DuPage County Fair in Wheaton. The group's self-described "modern symphonic rock” music has drawn 150,000 Facebook fans and Twitter followers around the globe.
“I am delighted to be performing at the fair; it’s an awesome event for all ages” says Mackey, a Roselle resident who runs his SongWerks studio in Addison.
AVM’s remake of the classic song “Hush” has garnered more than a million views on YouTube, and received radio airplay in 50 markets across the country. In an attempt to respect the creativity of the Grammy Award-winning songwriter behind the original hit – Joe South – Mackey said he and his team sought out South's personal approval for their project. Mackey adds that in the opening scene of AVM's “Hush” video, South can be seen gracing the remake with his powerful guitar intro, played specifically for AVM.
