The normally neutral-toned stage is getting a pink makeover for the comedy “Legally Blonde: The Musical.” Starring as Elle Woods will be Jordan Nazos of Bolingbrook (shown). Other Bolingbrook performers are Deonna Bolden, D’Zhari Bolden, Eric Hansen, Amanda Mascarello, Austin Nelson and Janelle Villas. The plot has Woods trying to win back her ex-boyfriend by enrolling at Harvard, determined to prove she’s a blonde with smarts, wit and plenty of fashion sense.

Featuring violin and guitar, one of Canada’s hottest roots music acts is on tour with a new CD, "Move." Nominees for the Juno, Canada's Grammy, band members are known for a global mix of flamenco, Arabic, Cuban, Gypsy jazz and other genre. Their music made it to No. 1 on world/international music charts in Canada, and earned an “Entertainer of the Year” award and first place in the International Songwriting Competition among 15,000 entries. They will be featured on WFMT radio's "Folkstage."

The Oak Brook Polo Grounds have been home to talented players for 80 years. The club is preparing to kick off the 2013 season, featuring six matches scheduled between now and Sept. 22. Spectators can scope out the season opener as polo players take their positions atop their horses and attempt to drive a ball into an opposing team’s goal using wooden mallets. For fans attending opening day, there will be an “Afterglow” event following the match.
'BAT BONANZA' HIKE

They eat bugs, swoop in the dark, and were made famous by DC Comics – they’re bats, and they often can be seen flying through the night. Learn all about these winged creatures at the DuPage County Forest Preserve District's "Bat Bonanza" evening hike. Participants will head out with a bat detector and hear the sounds bats make to navigate the darkness. The event is designed for ages 6 and older. Anyone younger than 16 must have an adult present.
'WRECK-IT RALPH' MOVIE

When the lights dim at the arcade at night, the video game characters pay a visit to the other games' inhabitants in Disney's animated film “Wreck-It Ralph.” The movie will be screened at Westmont’s outdoor display at Ty Warner Park.
