Wheaton Drama presents Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's clever musical, "Into the Woods," opening May 17. Geared for adults, the Tony Award-winning take on classic fairy tales is funny, dramatic and thought provoking, says the production team.
The musical intertwines the plots of several Brothers Grimm tales, exploring the not-so-happily-ever-after consequences of the characters' wishes and quests.
Curtain is at 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and 3 p.m. Sundays, May 17 to June 9, in Playhouse 111, 111 N. Hale St., Wheaton.
Tickets cost $18 to $21, and are available by contacting www.wheatondrama.org or the box office at 630-260-1820.
