Auditions set for rock 'Romeo & Juliet' by Wheaton Drama

Ready to rock the Bard, Wheaton Drama will conduct non-Equity play auditions for "Romeo & Juliet" at Playhouse 111 at 7 p.m. Sunday and Monday, April 28 and 29. The fresh adaptation by director Jeni Dees is set in modern-day New Orleans, and is described as a gritty, passionate, rock-and-roll-fueled take on William Shakespeare's famous tragedy.

All shapes, sizes and ethnicities are encouraged to audition. Tattoos, piercings and interesting hair are welcome. All roles are available, and men and women ages 13 to 60 are sought. Full details are at www.wheatondrama.org or contact the director at
