Lemont actor to play Huck Finn in 'Big River' musical

Frankie Zabilka, 17, of Lemont will star in the musical "Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn," taking on the role of the iconic Huck for Oak Lawn Theatre. He is a junior at Benet Academy in Lisle, and graduate of Everest Academy in Lemont.
The Tony Award-winning "Big River" will be performed at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, March 15 to 23, and at 3 p.m. Sundays, March 17 and 24.
Zabilka has been involved in acting and theater since he was 8, performing in about five or six major productions a year for the past decade.
He just finished playing "Doody" in "Grease," and has been assistant directing "The Sound of Music" at Benet Academy. His plans are to continue professionally in the field of theater.
The theater is in the Oak View Center, 4625 W. 110th St., Oak Lawn. Tickets cost $21 for adults; $20 for ages 60 and older and 12 and younger.
Box office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday and Thursday; 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday; and 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
