Character Fleadh (Submitted photo)

Character Fleadh, an acoustic traditional Irish band, will cap off its annual run of St. Patrick's Day gigs in LaGrange. The concert is set from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, March 17, in Palmer Place Restaurant, 56 S. La Grange Road. The group's two most recent recordings enjoy airplay on Irish music specialty shows on WHPK, WDCB and WEFT.

The band features Ethan Sellers (guitar, vocals), Randy Mollner (violin, banjo), Mark Grondy (bodhran), Emma Hospelhorn (flute, piccolo), and recent addition Sean Colledge (tenor banjo, concertina).

Character Fleadh was formed in 2008, and its musicians note they have performed at quite a few Irish bars in Chicago and the surrounding region, lots of Irish weddings, a handful of festivals including Gaelic Park Irish Fest, and twice shared the stage with legendary local Irish accordion virtuoso John Williams (Solas).
