Farce invites audiences to spend 'Night in Provence'
By SUBURBAN LIFE MEDIA - msleditorial@shawmedia.com
The Chicago premiere of Robin Hawdon's “A Night in Provence” is a romp set in a luxury French villa. It plays at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 8 and 9, in the Jedlicka Performing Arts Center, 3801 S. Central Ave., Cicero
The plot's premise is that the villa has been triple booked by three couples: French, English and Irish. The playwright previews the comic tension, “Add the ingredients of copious champagne, heightened sexual impulses, and ingrained cultural differences, and the European Union comes close to imploding.”
This marks the second Hawdon play to be directed by Dante Orfei at JPAC.
