Galileo's life is explored in the all-student production “Starry Messenger” by the Children's Theatre of Western Springs.
Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 8; 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday, March 9; and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 10, in the Theatre of Western Springs, 4384 Hampton Ave.
The all-ages fable begins with Galileo as a young boy inspired and awed by the heavens, and then follows his visionary life into old age. Producers note that the play uses historical fact as a steppingstone to imagination, reminding audiences that science and imagination go hand in hand.
Tickets cost $12 for adults, and $6 for children. For ticket information, contact 708-246-3380 or www.theatrewesternsprings.com.
